Excel for the web

Product

Browser version of Excel for viewing, editing and co-authoring workbooks; it supports common formulas, tables and charts but fewer advanced features than the desktop app.

Description

Excel for the web opens workbooks stored in OneDrive or SharePoint directly in the browser. Several people can edit the same sheet at once, and changes appear live. It is the version embedded in Teams channels and in SharePoint document libraries.

Some features, for example advanced Power Query steps, VBA macros and certain data-model functions, still require the desktop app.
