Definições curtas e claras dos termos mais importantes de Microsoft 365, Copilot, Azure e segurança. (Definição em inglês)
A
- AI agent
- A software system that uses an AI model to pursue a goal on its own: it plans steps, calls tools or APIs, reads data and acts, often with a human approving critical steps. Agents go beyond chatbots because they take actions, not just answer questions.
- Episódios sobre AI agent:
- Azure AI Foundry
- Microsoft's platform for building, evaluating and deploying AI applications and agents. It offers a catalogue of models, tools for grounding and safety, and deployment options on Azure.

C
- Conditional Access
- A policy engine in Microsoft Entra that decides at sign-in whether to allow, block or require extra steps, based on signals such as user, device compliance, location and risk. It is the core of a Zero Trust approach in Microsoft 365.
- Microsoft 365 Copilot
- An AI assistant built into Microsoft 365 apps such as Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams. It uses large language models together with the user's own work data from Microsoft Graph to draft, summarise and analyse content, always within the user's existing permissions.
- Episódios sobre Microsoft 365 Copilot:
- Copilot Studio
- Microsoft's low-code platform for building, customising and publishing AI agents and copilots. Makers define topics, knowledge sources, actions and flows and can publish the result to Teams, websites or Microsoft 365 Copilot.

D
- Data loss prevention (DLP)
- Policies that detect sensitive information such as credit card numbers or personal data and prevent it from being shared, copied or uploaded in ways that violate company rules.
- Episódios sobre Data loss prevention (DLP):
- Dataverse
- The managed data platform behind Power Platform and Dynamics 365. It stores tables with relationships, security roles and business logic, so apps and agents work on one governed data source.
- Episódios sobre Dataverse:
- Microsoft Defender
- Microsoft's security product family for endpoints, email, identities, cloud apps and cloud workloads. Defender XDR correlates their alerts into single incidents so security teams can investigate and respond faster.
- Dynamics 365
- Microsoft's family of business applications for sales, customer service, finance, supply chain and more, including Business Central for small and mid-sized companies. It builds on Dataverse and Power Platform.

E
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Microsoft's cloud identity and access management service, formerly Azure Active Directory. It handles sign-in, single sign-on, multifactor authentication, Conditional Access and app registrations for Microsoft 365, Azure and thousands of other apps.
- Episódios sobre Microsoft Entra ID:
- Exchange Online
- The cloud email, calendar and contacts service in Microsoft 365. Outlook connects to it, and mail flow rules, anti-phishing and retention policies are managed around it.
- Episódios sobre Exchange Online:
F
- Microsoft Fabric
- An all-in-one analytics platform that combines data engineering, data warehousing, real-time analytics and Power BI on a shared storage layer called OneLake, billed through shared capacity.
- Episódios sobre Microsoft Fabric:
G
- GitHub Copilot
- An AI coding assistant that suggests code, explains it, writes tests and, in agent mode, carries out multi-step changes in a repository under the developer's review.
- Episódios sobre GitHub Copilot:
- Governance
- The rules, roles and controls that define who may use which data and tools, and how that is monitored. For Copilot and agents, governance covers permissions, labelling, lifecycle of agents and auditability.
- Episódios sobre Governance:
- Microsoft Graph
- The unified API for Microsoft 365 data and services such as users, mail, calendar, files, Teams and security. Developers use one endpoint and one permission model; Copilot also uses Graph to ground answers in work data.

I
- Microsoft Intune
- Microsoft's cloud service for managing devices and apps. It enforces configuration and compliance policies on Windows, macOS, iOS and Android and feeds device status into Conditional Access.
M
- Model Context Protocol (MCP)
- An open protocol that lets AI applications connect to tools and data sources in a standard way. An MCP server exposes capabilities, and any compatible agent can discover and call them.
- Multifactor authentication (MFA)
- A sign-in method that requires at least two proofs of identity, for example a password plus a code or approval in an authenticator app. It blocks the vast majority of account-takeover attempts caused by stolen passwords.
O
- OneDrive
- Microsoft's cloud storage for personal work files. It syncs folders across devices and integrates with SharePoint, sharing controls and Microsoft 365 apps.
P
- Power Apps
- A low-code tool for building custom business apps for web and mobile. Canvas apps give full control over the layout, while model-driven apps are generated from the data model in Dataverse.
- Power Automate
- A service for automating workflows between apps and services. Cloud flows react to triggers such as a new email or file, desktop flows automate Windows applications, and both can include AI steps.
- Episódios sobre Power Automate:
- Power BI
- Microsoft's business intelligence tool for turning data into interactive reports and dashboards. Semantic models define the data and measures, and reports can be shared in the Power BI service or embedded in other apps.
- Episódios sobre Power BI:
- Power Platform
- Microsoft's low-code family consisting of Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages and Copilot Studio. Together with Dataverse it lets business users build apps, automations, reports and agents.
- Episódios sobre Power Platform:
- Prompt
- The instruction or question given to an AI model. Clear prompts state the goal, the context, the desired format and any constraints; good prompting is the fastest way to better Copilot results.
- Episódios sobre Prompt:
- Prompt injection
- An attack in which hidden or malicious instructions in a document, web page or email trick an AI system into ignoring its rules or leaking data. Defences include limiting permissions, filtering inputs and requiring human approval for sensitive actions.
- Episódios sobre Prompt injection:
- Microsoft Purview
- Microsoft's family of data governance, protection and compliance tools. It covers sensitivity labels, data loss prevention, retention, eDiscovery, audit and insider-risk management across Microsoft 365 and other data sources.
- Episódios sobre Microsoft Purview:
R
- Retrieval-augmented generation (RAG)
- A pattern in which an AI model first retrieves relevant documents from a knowledge source and then writes its answer based on them. It reduces made-up answers and lets models use current, private data without retraining.
S
- Sensitivity labels
- Labels from Microsoft Purview that classify and protect documents, emails and meetings. A label can add encryption, visual markings and access restrictions that travel with the file wherever it goes.
- Microsoft 365's platform for intranets, document libraries and team sites. Most files shared in Teams are stored in SharePoint, so its permissions directly decide what Copilot can find.
- Episódios sobre SharePoint:
T
- Microsoft Teams
- Microsoft's collaboration hub for chat, meetings, calls and apps. It is also a main surface for Copilot and for agents built in Copilot Studio.
- Episódios sobre Microsoft Teams:
V
- Microsoft Viva
- A set of employee-experience apps inside Teams and Microsoft 365, including Viva Engage for communities, Viva Insights for work patterns and Viva Learning for training.
- Episódios sobre Microsoft Viva:
Z
- Zero Trust
- A security model built on three principles: verify explicitly, use least-privilege access and assume breach. Instead of trusting anything inside the network, every request is checked against identity, device and context.
